White Plague Games is an indie video game studio created by a quartet of young game developers, eager to create original and fresh video games. Two years ago, they started nourishing the idea to join the indie wave and get back to their passion, old fashioned game development, pure creation and freedom of expression. They wanted to create a game as a tribute to what they were passionate about, these pinacles of the video game industry, brought back from the past and mixed with what they love today: beautiful graphics, stories and awesome gameplay systems.
Thus was born their first project: Pirates: Age of Gravitium.
Each of them is already a trained expert from the video games industry, and has worked on massive projects like the Assassin’s Creed © franchise, Heavy Rain ©, Watch Dogs ©, Tom Clancy’s The Division ©, amongst others. They have been recently joined by Fanny and Erwann along the way to give them a hand on specific aspects of the game.

Nicolas “Baron” LAVAL, Creative Director and CEO
Nicolas has always been attracted by creation. He has been inventing games since he was a child, from board games to classical role-playing games, in order to entertain his friends. After studying mathematics as his first Master, Nicolas decided to follow his passion and graduated as a Master in Game Design. His love for gaming led him to work on two independent projects before joining the team at Ubisoft Annecy on several games from the Assassin’s Creed © franchise. Spreadsheets and custom editors are now his new best friends.
Julien “MrJobar” PRISSETTE, Data management and Animation
Passionate about movies and video games, Julien studied computer graphics, programming and animation. On top of working for feature films and movies, his experience and technical skills in animation led him to work in the video game industry, especially on games like Heavy Rain © (Quantic Dream ©) and multiple projects at Ubisoft Annecy © like the Assassin’s Creed franchise © and Watch Dogs ©. For now, he channels his energy on Pirates: Age of Gravitium, to bring characters, boats and tons of other stuff to life as much as possible.
Romain “Noraleï” DALBES, Art Director
Despite his well-known attraction for dark and gloomy worlds, with crypts where torches and towels are your only company, Romain practices as a graphist and art director from the sunshines of Avignon. Converted to drawing after his CG training at ESIA (Bellecour Art School) in Lyon, he has a wide spectrum of skills. Pirates : Age of Gravitium definitely throws him on a new graphical landscape, putting his capacities to the test.
Remi “RAPDel” DELORME, Technical Director and Programming
Rémi has grown with games, especially video games, and music as his main passions, to the point when, after graduating at ENSIIE, he naturally specialized in a one-year Master as a programmer for the video game industry. Long-time role-playing games and board-games player as well as deep gamesystems passionate, he has always been analyzing and thinking about the games he played. Pirates : Age of Gravitium gives him the opportunity to fully show his skills and his passion.
Erwann CHANDON, Music Composer
Pursuing an atypical career, Erwann Chandon started focusing on orchestral composition after an early career as a drummer, guitarist and bassist. After obtaining a Master’s degree in Musicology (professional Master’s degree in Visual Arts Music Scoring), he entered the Film Scoring Class of the CNSMD (National Superior Music and Dance Conservatory) in Lyon. Today, he works in cinema as well as video games or theater. He also brings the vibrant soundtrack of Pirates : Age of Gravitium to life.
Fanny “Fafa” GOUBERT, 2D Artist
Passionate about Art and drawings, Fanny studied computer graphics at ESIA (Bellecour Art School) in Lyon. Working as a computer graphic artist, an animated film director and a communication manager, she uses art to share emotions. Now she is part of the team working on Pirates : Age of Gravitium, giving a precious hand to Romain on graphics and FXs.
PIRATES: AGE OF GRAVITIUM
In Pirates : Age of Gravitium, you play as a young pirate captain looking for a solution to the upcoming threat of the India Company. Whether you want to become famous, rich enough or well prepared to fight is for you to decide.
To help you during your journey, you can recruit a large variety of fellow pirates. You can also grow your headquarter to unlock new skills, accept missions for other factions or simply explore the world in search for treasures or easy targets to rob. But be careful! You are not alone, and the other factions – the British, the French, the Dutch, the Spanish and the other Pirates – will make sure you pay for your crimes.
Sea itself is treacherous if you travel for too long, as the moral of your crew, like the hull of your ship, is far from being unbreakable.

We are at a development stage of Pirates: Age of Gravitium where we need the support of the community to help us cross the finish line, reach the final product and tackle the last challenges along the way in terms of music, graphics and animation production. The crowd-funding will also cover our needs in terms of logistics, especially software licences.
We have chosen Kickstarter in order to bring the community into the development process, to gather feedbacks and ideas as much as possible. The campaign will also allow us to thank every baker with a variety of rewards.
The amount of money raised by the crowd-funding will also define which additional elements we are able to implement in the game, which are represented in the form of a Stretch-Goal
